Neurocritical Care of NMDA-R Encephalitis: An interprofessional team effort

Biography:

Jeffrey Singh received his MD from the University of Toronto and subsequently certified in Internal Medicine, Adult Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care.  He has a Master’s degree in clinical epidemiology and health services research.  He is currently site director of the Medical-Surgical and Neuro-Intensive Care Unit at the Toronto Western Hospital, and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Singh also is also a Regional Medical Lead for Donation at Trillium Gift of Life Network, the organ donation organization of Canada’s most populous province.

 His clinical interests involve the support of critically-ill patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, and the evolving area of organ donation science. His research has been funded by the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation, Rick Hansen Institute and the PSI Foundation. He is currently conducting several studies to improve the identification, triage and support of potential organ donors.
