Thomas Harbo is a neuromuscular specialist at Aarhus University Hospital in Aarhus, Denmark, a certified Centre of Excellence by the GBS|CIDP Foundation International. His neurology training was at Aarhus University Hospital and he has completed a neuromuscular fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, USA. His Clinical and academic interest is focused on acute and chronic inflammatory neuropathies including Guillian-Barre Syndrome (GBS), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), and multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN). His research has helped establish the role of subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIG) in the treatment of MMN and CIDP.
