Dr. Shoamanesh is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Div. of Neurology) at McMaster University, Canada where he holds the Marta and Owen Boris Chair in Stroke Research and Care, and the Director of the Hemorrhagic Stroke Research Program and a Scientist at the affiliated Population Health Research Institute. His research program aims to develop new treatments and standards of care that improve patient outcomes through the design and efficient execution of acute stroke and secondary stroke prevention randomized trials.
