Biography:

 Dr. Jonathan Micieli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences and Medicine, Division of Neurology. He is a staff Comprehensive and Neuro-Ophthalmologist at Kensington Eye Institute, Toronto Western Hospital and St. Michael's Hospital. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Toronto where he was awarded the Duncan Jamieson Memorial Prize and the Woywitka Cup Award for the resident with the highest standing over five years. He completed a Neuro-ophthalmology Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with Drs. Nancy Newman and Valerie Biousse. 

 Dr. Jonathan Micieli is interested in medical student and resident education and regularly supervises neurology and ophthalmology residents. He is the Neuro-Ophthalmology/Neuro-Otology pre-clerkship lead for the undergraduate medical curriculum at U of T. He is the author of Case-Based Neuro-Ophthalmology, a book of multiple choice questions and explanations for ophthalmology and neurology residents. Dr. Micieli has been in active practice for 1 year and has over 50 peer-reviewed publications. His research interests are in the diagnosis, misdiagnosis and visual outcomes in idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
